The well was frozen and there was not much water in the little village of Evergreen.We have spent months digging at the ice with ; shoves,axes,hammers and so much more but nothing works.We still have our stream near the edge of the village which separates our village from the 2,500  acres of forest. All the children are excited bouncing around in their striped school uniforms except me.This is bad and I know it .The ice is strange, it’s almost impossible to break it, all the tools  bounce off like the ice is rubber, something is wrong and I’m gonna find out what…

A parent teacher conference is so nerve racking. I myself find it quite scary and tend to freak out because I never know what the teacher is going to say about me and my learning but it’s not really that bad.Some of you may be wondering what a parent teacher conference is well it’s basically when a teacher talks to your parents about your learning.But I was really happy with my report at the end.

BBQ at the Fire station

On Saturday the 2nd of April.My family and I went to the Duntroon fire station for a BBQ and saw  2 of my friends Emily and Amelia.  We listened to music,ate chips and lollies and drank fizzy drinks. It was sooo fun! The best bit was when Scot took us for a ride in the fire truck twice ! The first time we went for a ride we weren’t allowed to have the siren on but then the chief of the fire station said that we had to go again but with the siren on and it was sooo cool and lots and lots of fun. We only got home at least 10:30 pm.It was awsome !!

If I could go to any country I would go to Canada.

I’d go to Canada to see some of the most beautiful views in the world.My number 1 place to go to is Niagara Falls to see the beautiful view.I would also love to see the stunning Jasper National Park. I want to go to Jasper National Park to do all the different walks and do all the awesome activities.The reasons I want to go to Niagara Falls is because it is an awesome natural attraction and you can see many more things on the boat ride there.I would also love to go to;Mont-Tremblant,Okanagan Valley,White Horse,Toronto,Cape Breton Highlands National Park,Gros Morne National Park,Victoria and Vancouver Island,Quebec city Vancouver and Banff.

My Awesome Holiday

 

“Amelia the water is NOT warm you lair !!”I yelled at the indoor Oamaru pool.I had just made the supid decision to trust my cousin and dive head first into the icy water of the Oamaru pool. And when I pulled  myself up I got pushed back in again .

 

Yes the first week of MY holiday was full with swimming with my sneaky cousin Amelia you can visit her at https://ameliawills20.edublogs.orghttps://

 

After the first 3 days of the week Amelia and I went to the Oamaru squash and badminton  courts to learn how to play squash in the morning from  10am -12pm and went swimming at 12:15 pm again.

 

Saturday was normal sleep in till 9am and watch movies but sunday was special,’cause we went to the bowling alley  to play laser tag and then went to scouts brewery for pizza 😛 yum .And went to Amelia’s for dinner and had massive ice cream sundays .

 

The next week was pretty boring we went for a bike ride to the river and had a picnic and that was all until thursday when I went with Amelia and Isla to a 5 hour netball session .On friday Amelia was sick so I when with Isla and her nan and got 3 prizes at prize giving yay!! And well that was my Awesome holiday .

Term 2 is over!!!!!!! time to have fun!!!!!!!!!!! I’m gonna miss school though, here’s a review of what we did this term.

This term we learnt about our water cycle ( fun fact did you know that the water u brush your teeth with, a Dino could have drunk 26 million years ago !!!),we learnt about the different types of clouds such as ,nimbostratus,cirrostratus and alto stratus. We also learnt about fractions,how to speak and count in Maori and a lot more. I am really happy with the improvements I have made this term to ,I will really miss room 1   !1 thing I want to do these school holidays is snow skiing !!!!!!!!!!! 

Last week I made a terrarium with my friend Manawa. It was a 5 step process you have to :lay stones at the bottom of the jar then put small bits of charcoal on top ,then lay potting mix on top,plant some plants on top then add water.After a while you can see the condensation on the jar .It was really cool to see it in person .A terrarium can live to at least 3 years .It was sooooo cool to see and make .

 

A weekend is a slice of heaven  I think we can all agree but the first weekend out of lock down was more than that it was freedom .

Amelia my cousin on Saturday  came with her dad to go duck shooting and got bored so came to spend the day with us.
Mum gave us her phone and we played music while we did cartwheels.

After we played outside we watched a movie called Bandit a cool movie about a dog, mind you it was a bit sad and scary.

After the movie we went to the pub and had dinner then went home .

 

On Sunday we watched Dr Dolittle 2 and then went to the Deep Stream Walk Way and saw 6 Wallabies and 9 trout witch was really cool.

 

I did a space slide show witch I am very proud of and had a lot of fun making it’s about a lot of fun facts on space. 😀

Started school, on the 18th of the 5th and was soooo siked  to see my friends and teacher ever since,  after our teacher saw how well, we organised ourselves and now she just has to write what we are supposed to do for the day and we just do it in our own order.Like I might do my maths first and then reading while someone else  might do their reading first and then maths. As well as new rules like putting on hand sanitizer on when we walk in and out of the class .And no high fives,hand shake or hugs but we  still have fun by doing cartwheels,races and sport ,so is it different ? Yes ,but it’s still fun. ;D
